Caring for your item

Care Tips

Hand washing is always recommended to preserve the glaze surface; however every item is dishwasher safe.

Avoid sudden temperature changes, like moving from a hot oven to cold water.

Microwave use is safe unless your piece includes gold luster or metallic details-- which would be stated in your item details on the listing when purchased.

Every piece made for drinking and eating is food-safe and finished with non-toxic glazes. If an item is made with a glaze that is NOT food safe, it will be stated in the item listing details.

Unglazed Bottoms

The bottoms are intentionally left unglazed to highlight their handmade nature and for firing purposes. Unglazed areas may develop minor spots or marks with use — washing promptly and allowing the piece to dry fully between uses will help minimize staining. On white ceramic pieces, unglazed areas may show spots or stains with regular use. If stains do occur, they can often be lightened by gently scrubbing with a baking soda paste or soaking the area in a mild solution of vinegar and water

Colored or Matte Glazes

Satin or matte glazes may show slight variations in tone or patina over time — these subtle shifts are part of what make handmade ceramics unique.

Your piece is not just functional — it’s a piece of art. With proper care, it will bring warmth and beauty to your everyday rituals for years to come. Thank you for cherishing this handmade item and welcoming a little piece of my creativity into your home.
